Google Defeats Cuil
Cuil search engine was released ealier from estimated time, their claimed that already have indexed around 120 billion sites, more than Google and others search engine did. Cuil direction board including three of Google former employees said that Cuil will be Google best competitor. One thing to be compared between Google and Cuil is the number of indexed pages, and the search result relevance as the main idea.
Cuil is one good search engine, but it seems that Cuil is not has search result as deeper as Google, and even the result is not so relevance as Google has. When you type dog on Cuil search engine, then it will shows 280 millions result, and Google reach 498 millions. Regardless relevance of search result is subjective, but Google put Wikipedia at the first place, than dog.com site. In contrary, Cuil put dog.com on the first place then Wikipedia. Both of them give the same result, but Google much better.
Techcrunch.com made comparison Cuil vs Google, they put Apple, France, Stonehenge, Silicon Valley in sequence, and the result is:

It is clearly Google has indexed much more than Cuil has done. Furthermore, Cuil result rank is not better than Google based on the same question. But, things to be considered is, Cuil just begin their search engine, while Google need one decade to built the powerful search engine.

I wonder where does $30 million of investments were spent. One would think that kind of money is enough to get a decent search engine. Bet the results Cuil gives you are ridiculous. Some people even managed to find words Cuil couldn’t find anything about, and they were all from a dictionary. Such a shame.

Just try it before comment here, poor result and give not accurate result for long term search.
I dont thing cuil can be a competitor to google for a short term but for long term…..just wait and see
