Finally, second part of this continuous article abut the long tail is completed made. This time will be discussed how to catch Long Tail Keyword (LTK), and exploit it to be more improve our site existence in search engine. For anyone not yet understand LTK, please make familiar with this first. It won’t bite.

Catcher The Long Tail Weapon
Before starting to catch the long tail, let us get acquainted with HitTail features first.
1. My Hit Tail
This page shows graphical from Long Tail Keyword which is recorded from visitor activity that came through search engine. We can see different graphical depends to each search engine sites (Google, Yahoo, MSN, other). Besides, on this page we can also know how many percentage of our site visitor that came from keyword Long Tail.
At one of my site for example, keywords that reside in the VIP position result page only giving the 6.4% contribution from entirety of visitor that come. The rest come from LTK. It is Incredible, isn’t it?
2. Search Hits
This page contains all queries which are referred to visitor that come to your site. You can download this list as Excel document if necessary.
3. Keywords
This page contains all keywords which are used by visitor in search engine to come to your site. Basically, this page content globally similar with search Hits page. It’s difference, this page only mentioning its keyword, while page Search Hits present all queries.
Be like on page Search Hits, you can download the keyword list as Excel document.
4. Suggestions
This page is main weapon from tool long tail keyword catcher, HitTail. Automatically, HitTail will filter keyword list which is on previous page and give the new list which is contain the keyword that they suggest to optimize. Filter is done according to our site position in search engine for the specific keyword. From temporary observation, keyword which is suggested mostly resides in page 2 till 5 from entire of result page in search engine.
Again, you is enabled to download the list in suggestions page into your computer in Excel document.
5. To Do
The page function as marker or notification for you. On Suggestions page, you can click at specified keyword to move it into To Do page. Thereby, we know which particular keywords that we have optimized.
Catch The Long Tail Technique
At the moment I sure you ought to have got the clue how to catch the long tail keywords. Yeah, the main core, this is steps that you have to do:
- Login into Member Area HitTail.
- Make a move to Suggestions page
- Catch and exploit enlist keywords in this page. If you have done, clicked to move in To Do page.
- Make a move to To Do page and check are there keyword which is passed.

Exploit The Long Tail
So, if have been catch then what?
There is two choice of way that you can go through.
First, you can modify your site page, which be directive by long tail keyword so that the keyword be optimized. Usually, enough by adding the keyword 1-2 times into your site page you have given more improvement at SERP page.
Second, if keyword which is caught have high potency, just make new page at your site which is special dedicated to that keyword. Remember, without doing optimization one of your site page have succeeded deliver visitor, moreover if you make the optimization page for the keyword.
I prefer to use the first way. Besides easier, also this is relative effective compared to the second way. Truly the result not too effective as the second method, but just keep to proven more succeed improve page position which is in modification at SERP for specified keyword.

Are there other tools?
There are so many tools that more expensive than HitTail. But for people whom have limited fund or not yet owned credit card, use HitTail more comfortable because you are not obliged to pay for anything. But in future, possibly I will write down another LTK catcher weapon, of, course not free.
